Day 13 – Before and After SXSW – Thirty in Thirty

The photo above was taken on Friday, March 17th at 2:32pm, during SXSW. Notice the baracades, hoards of people and cops, and activity all around.

This photo was taken March 20th, at 2:32PM, the first Monday after SXSW. Notice how the people have been replaced by parking spots, no more baracades, and clean streets. It’s amazing to see Austin transform in three days.

My favorite difference in these two photos is the tree on the right hand side. On Friday you can start too see those bare limbs show early sign of growth. By Monday the tree is completely in bloom, lush, and green. Perfect timing too considering Monday was the first day of spring.

This is part of my Thirty in Thirty series. You can read Day 1 here, and follow the links up until now.
